Lucien Pigeon, a member of the largely unknown Moral Conscience Party, last summer gained attention for his one-man crusade as he stood for days on St. John’s Blvd. holding a placard inscribed with slogans calling attention to climate change.

$"/>“My wish for 2007 is that people wake up. If we’re going to make it, if we’re going to save our planet we need to wake up our moral conscience. The future of our planet depends not only on the kids but on the leadership of adults with a moral conscience. That’s the deciding factor,” Pigeon said.

$"/>Pigeon is retired and doesn’t own a car but he gets around all right and works out at the Y regularly.

$"/>“I encourage anyone in my situation to make an effort to take the bus. I don’t need a car,” said the 65 year old.
