Contractual democracy provides a means to correct the current seven (7) serious vices or deficiencies that hinder our present democracy:

 1 - The worthlessness of all election promises;

2 – The marginalisation of the National Assembly;

3 - The alienation of the citizen from the institutions of the state;

4 - The bias of the media that creates an imbalance in the electoral process;

5 - The exclusion of "small parties" that is a veto to the evolution of political thought;

6 - The closed door process in the conception and preparation of laws;

7 - The absence of an efficient citizen’s input and control in the application of laws.
